*ALL BASE SOAP INGREDIENTS CONTAIN: ORGANIC OLIVE OIL, ORGANIC SUSTAINABLE PALM OIL, ORGANIC COCONUT OIL, WATER, AND LYE.* Real soap is the result of a natural chemical process called saponification, in which an acid (the oils and butters) and a base or alkaline (sodium hydroxide- AKA lye) dissolved in a liquid, are brought together to form soap. (No lye is remaining after the saponification process.)*
French green clay has been used for years as a detoxifying beauty treatment. When applied topically, it can aid the skin in healing and ridding itself of harmful toxins. French green clay has an ionic charge. Acting like a magnet, this type of clay attaches itself to the molecules of toxins so they can be rinsed away when the skin care treatment is done. French green clay is one of the most absorbent cosmetic clays with the ability to hold close its weight in water. Because of this green clay is mostly recommended for oily, clogged or acne prone skin, though normal skin can also benefit from the occasional clarifying treatment.
Comfrey leaf is commonly used for helping heal wounds, preventing scars, and treating existing ones, along with decreasing dryness and flaking of skin.
Black walnut hulls contain juglone- antibacterial, antiviral, antiparasitic, and a fungicide. As a skin wash, black walnut hulls are used to treat ringworm and yeast infections of the skin.
Patchouli essential oil regenerates new skin cells, and can help the skin looking young, healthy and vibrant. It is also great for all skin types — dry, cracked skin and oily or acne-prone skin.
Bergamot essential oil is used to minimize the look of scars and other marks on the skin; it tones the skin by making the supply of melanin even. These scars can be the result of acne or skin infections or irritations.
Cedarwood essential oil protects skin pores from letting in dust or any harmful microbes into the body, which lead to acne and skin infections. Cedarwood oil is also effective for tightening the facial skin and giving it a youthful appearance.
Sage Essential Oil can be attributed to its properties as an antifungal, antimicrobial, antioxidant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and antibacterial.
